The smallest continent - is one of the most beautiful countries on earth. It is the land of my dreams.
Australia is a huge country, the distance from west to east is some 3.800 km, and from north to south about
3.200 km. Apart from the Great Dividing Ranges along the east coast the country is mostly flat... and dry. Australia is the driest continent on earth. The north gets some tropical rains, but especially
in the inland rain is unexpectable, and often measured in drops.
Australia’s population is 2,6 per km˛ (Germany 231 per km˛), most people live in the big cities in the
south, and along the east coast. Travelling along the unsealed roads in the inland can be very lonely, but it is the best way to explore this wonderful country.
